Katy Perry - Chained To The Rhythm Feat. Skip Marley [New Song]

If you follow Katy Perry on social media then you might’ve noticed she took a pretty unique marketing approach with her new single “Chained To The Rhythm.”
Rather than just tweeting a release date & dropping it on iTunes, Katy decided to release a map Wednesday morning showing the locations of few dozen disco balls all over the world that were playing the single ahead of its release. Places like NYC, Chicago, & Paris all had fans on a scavenger hunt to hear the new single, but now that it’s Friday the single has officially been released on iTunes.


These are intense times, but Katy Perry is here to remind us to have fun. A breathy, bombastic blend of dancehall and disco with an empowering verse from Skip Marley—grandson of Bob Marley—the song is a plea to set aside our differences and find unity on the dance floor. She sings: "Turn it up, it’s your favourite song/Dance-dance-dance to the distortion/So put your rose-colored glasses on/And party on."
